PLANNED ELECTRICITY OUTAGES WITHIN THE SPRINGS AREA

NEWS BULLETIN: PLANNED POWER OUTAGE WITHIN SPRINGS AREA

“Due to urgent maintenance work, the power supply will be switched off on Thursday, 16 July 2020 from 08:00 until 18:00:

Please note that the following areas will be affected:

  • New Era
  • Wright Park
  • Pollak Park
  • Dal Fouché
  • Fulcrum
  • Springs Ext.
  • Reedville
  • As well as Fulcrum / Dal Fouché / Rietfontein Reservoirs

 

Work to restore power will be undertaken with the intention of restoring power to the affected area.

No guarantee can however be given that this deadline will be met. Work will however continue until the urgent maintenance work has been completed. All Electrical Networks, Equipment shall be regarded as being electrically alive at all times while the maintenance is performed.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

Please take note that the planned activities will include Transformer Maintenance and Testing  / NEC Tests  and Switchgear Maintenance at the JVA Substation.
